eight days and counting

of our Earth Day celebration...

It'd be great to hear what's going on with curriculums, classrooms, and reading lists, as well as any work being done in school (or community). Planting gardens, trees, recycling, water conservation, learning about the inner workings of our planet and how to operate in synergy with nature...please share anything and everything you do, have done, or plan on for the future. Sharing is welcomed for all grade levels, preschool to high school.

As thanks for your participation, anyone who submits a comment between now and Earth Day (April 22, 2013 midnight) will be entered to win a wildflower gift pack (see below) or one of four signed copies of wildflowersAlso please note that a separate Goodreads Giveaway runs through Earth Day, and free Kindle downloads of wildflowers will be available on April 22.

  1. A small thing that I do: I have a plant outside that I always forgot to water and it almost died. But, I also have a spot below my eaves where the condensation from my A/C unit drips off. So I parked my half-dead plant under the drip and Voila! Automatic plant watering, and no waste of a source of water.
    Happy Earth Month!

  2. Heidi, Thanks for stopping by to share your (very) resourceful plant watering tip. I love it, and am now wondering, could I plant something near my A/C drip line just to make use of the water? And by the by, every little thing counts, and I'm glad you shared yours.
